I am looking for a very rough estimate. This is in Michigan with a high water table, most wells are around 50-100 ft deep, in that area. We are purchasing a home and the old well does not meet code and is almost dry – so the sellers will have to have this done in order to sell the house to us. They want us to split the cost.

The water table is low where I am and it costs anywhere from $3500-5000 here.
I also live in Michigan. I have a well but my neighboe just had a new one dug for about $400.00 But I don’t know how deep they went. Call some places and see what they say
