How can I find out if the property i want to buy has a water well and everything that goes along with water?
electricty is off and that means the water is off.
so how can i figure out how much it will cost or if it will cost anything to check the well if it has one and works without turning on the electricity?
the owner just buys the properies and doesnt know;.
I was wondering how much it usually takes to install a well when there isn’t one already on a property. A well is an attractive option for me because it means no monthly water bills…but how expensive is it to get started, on average?
Has anyone ever set up a payment plan for a well? That would be better than a lifetime of water payments. If someone out there has been able to get a company to agree to a payment plan, I might be able to use that as leverage.
Are homeowners required to pay for the inspection?
I live in NC and the town I want to move to has an above-average amount of rainfall per year. Isn’t that a fairly good sign?
Getting a well is looking pretty scary. But I also hate the idea of paying a water bill every month, because it’s hard to budget for fluctuating bills.
I am looking for a very rough estimate. This is in Michigan with a high water table, most wells are around 50-100 ft deep, in that area. We are purchasing a home and the old well does not meet code and is almost dry – so the sellers will have to have this done in order to sell the house to us. They want us to split the cost.
When the well was drilled in Aug.06 I was told that the only I could run it dry would be to fill up a swimming pool.
We can’t even do laundry with out running out of water, and our showers have to be super fast!
After spending $3,000.00 to get the well drilled is there anyway we can make the guy who drilled it come back and drill us another one at little or no cost.
He lied and took us for almost all we had. with the lack of rain we’ve been out of water for 3 weeks. I just want to take a shower in my own home again.
It is a deep well, with no screens in the bottom. when we first ran out a week after he drilled it, i called and he said it may be because he ran the drill up and down the well, and it may have caused mud to mud seal off the sides where water was coming in. He told us to wait about a month and it would be fine, it’s been almost a year!
I am moving into a home that has a water well, what if any is there in the water pressure. and how does that work. If I am running my shower and doing dishes at the same time will I still have the same pressure or will I lose pressure. What I am asking is it the same.
