A couple of weeks ago I found a hole in an underground pipe at my water well. I started having trouble with the well again today. The pressure switch is constantly kicking off and about every 5 minutes (no exageration) I am having to go and tap the pressure switch to get the water to come back on. Any suggestions?

I live in the country and have my own water well. The well is about 6′ deep and 5′ wide (both ways). The walls are just regular cement block. My old lid to cover the well is worn out. Does anyone have suggestions on what to use to replace the lid, or where to go to get one? I can’t find anything anywhere. For something so common, I figured it would be easy.
If I make one of wood, what is recommended to seal it to keep out rainwater?

I have a single jet well system for water at my house. I’m trying to increase the water pressure so my irrigation system will work. I was told I need a bigger tank and a stronger (2hp) motor to pump the water. Can I just upgrade the motor without changing the tank? I have a 42 gallon tank and the well is 17 feet deep.
